Gloobus Preview is a preview software that lets you view files quickly without having to open them in their normal software. It is inspired by Apple’s Quicklook.

The default repositories of the Ubuntu OS do not include this app, so you will need to add it manually. First of all open the /etc/apt/sources.list file by typing the following command in the terminal.

deb http://ppa.launchpad.net/tualatrix/gloobus/ubuntu jaunty main

Run the following command to update the Ubuntu repositories:

sudo apt-get update

Once it is finished, you are ready to install Gloobus Preview. The following command will do the trick for you.
