The Lodge & Conference Center at Geneva-on-the-Lake is located in the heart of Ohio’s Wine Country on the shores of Lake Erie. Managed by Delaware North, The Lodge features 109 spacious, newly-renovated guest rooms, many overlooking the lake! The property also features 25 new Cape Cod-style cottages, many with lake views! Coming this summer is an exciting and daring attraction – Lake Erie Canopy Tours, which will be featuring zip line and challenge courses!

The Opportunity

As the Front Desk Manager at The Lodge, you’ll be providing the highest level of customer service and hospitality to our guests in an efficient, courteous and personable manner to ensure a positive guest experience. This is a full-time position with benefits, reporting directly to the Rooms Manager. Applicants must be available to work nights, weekends and holidays.

Specifically, you’ll be responsible for:
Manage all front desk operations, specifically related to check-ins, check-outs, call handling and reservations, room deliveries and a range of guest needs, including in-house and local area directions and information.

Maintain high guest service standards and promote company customer service programs; confidently and professionally handle all service recovery needs to increase guest satisfaction.

Utilize computer competencies to learn the property management systems effectively, become a property expert on the system, and be able to provide comprehensive training to all front desk agents.

Coordinate room availabililty to maximize sales opportunities, up-sell and/or upgrade guests, and ensure all guest charges are billed correctly.

Manage schedules and activities for front desk agents, night auditors, and wine shuttle drivers.; supervise workloads during shifts, adhering to labor budget.

Responsible for hiring, training, promoting, and coaching front desk and activities staff.
