ABOUT THE JOB

The purpose of the Field Maintenance Coordinator position is to inspect, evaluate, communicate and coordinate the maintenance requirements of the commercial properties MIMCO, Inc. manages with internal departments and contracted vendors.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The duties and responsibilities of the Field Maintenance Coordinator position include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Inspect properties and assess existing and potential repair and/or maintenance issues on a day-to-day basis;
  • Communicate property site inspection assessments internally;
  • Work with appropriate departments, including Property Management, Leasing, and Construction, to determine the most effective way to proceed with the required repair and/or maintenance issue, within the terms of the lease;
  • Coordinate working with vendors to maintain quality, cost and timing of completion of work;
  • Create and follow up with work orders utilizing company software tools (i.e. Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and Yardi Voyager);
  • Abide by all company policies and procedures;
  • Perform any and all other duties and responsibilities as directed and assigned by management.

JOB REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS

The minimum requirements and qualifications for the position of Field Maintenance Coordinator include the following:

  • Must have a good driving record;
  • Ability to work flexible hours;
  • Basic construction knowledge a plus;
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Products (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint);
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills;
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills;
  • Ability to succeed in a team environment;
  • Self-motivated and proactive, both with respect to managing work load and personal career development;
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize work assignments to meet deadlines and job requirements;
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Must be able to drive in a company provided vehicle most of the day, everyday;
  • Must be able to walk for periods of time, bend, squat, crawl, as needed;
  • Must be able to be able to lift and/or carry 50lbs without assistance;
  • Must be able to climb ladders to access property roofs;
  • Read and visually verify information in a variety of formats (e.g., small print).

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

The position of Field Maintenance Coordinator is compensated on an hourly basis at a rate determined by management of Mimco, Inc. commensurate with candidate experience and qualifications. In addition, Mimco, Inc. provides the following benefits to eligible employees:
