Our E-Recycling Department is part of a program that helps to divert over 2 million pounds of computer equipment from area landfills. The Material Handler’s role is to assist in material handling, sorting through computer equipment as well as providing excellent customer service to the individuals that are shopping in our outlet for computer equipment.


Support Goodwill Industries mission and implementing Goodwill’s core values of commitment, excellence, innovation, integrity, interdependence, respect, and teamwork.

Identify specific parts of internal as well as external components of a computer.

Sort donated electronic goods.

Evaluate condition of goods and determine whether items will be recycled or sold.

Package and/or palletize electronic goods to be sent to recycling

Use a computer terminal to add material to truck manifest and to print labels

Test a variety of electronic equipment as needed.

Safely and efficiently use equipment to transport donated goods to the appropriate areas or to load trailers.

May drive van locally as needed to pick up small commercial donations.

Responsible for general housekeeping of assigned areas.
