The Disaster (EH&S) Coordinator will coordinate emergency management activities within the hospital organizational structure and implement all Hospital Preparedness Program (HPP) Grant requirements in the facility. Grant activities should be coordinated with assigned Disaster Resource Center (DRC), umbrella hospitals and the Los Angeles County Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Agency.
Minimum Experience: Three (3) years of professional experience in emergency management/disaster preparedness or related field (environmental safety, public safety, emergency department, or risk management).
Req. Certification/Licensure: Hospital Disaster Management Training (HDMT) required. Associate Emergency Manager (AEM) Certification, Certified Emergency Management Certification (CEM), Certified Healthcare Safety Professional (CHSP), and Certified Healthcare Emergency Professional (CHEP) preferred.
