The Digital Marketing Manager has responsibility and accountability for leading the marketing efforts related to our digital communities to ultimately drive business unit growth and profitability (P&L responsibility). Responsible for short and long-range digital brand strategies inclusive of pricing, product mix, brand communication, consumer segmentation and targeting, distribution, etc..
The Manager represents the business across the organization and works cross-functionally to achieve goals.
Brand / Business Strategy
Collaboration with manager in the development and execution of short-term and long-term retailer digital strategies. Develop and execute global retailer.com digital content and marketing strategy that drives brand recognition, promotes compelling messaging, and results in increased sales activity and leads
Website Content Management
Responsible for optimizing brand presence and product assortment on internal and retailer websites. Work with digital graphic designers to produce imagery, video, and copy that is consistent with the global brand and the theme/design for the business objectives. Successful execution of creative projects to drive branding and business goals.
Manage in direct partnership with cross-functional teams the multiple marketing projects at various stages to a successful and timely execution. Requires strong coordination across the various teams to ensure business objectives are met.
Manage the completion of marketing initiatives in partnership with the cross-functional teams and potential external partners.
Identify and manage projects to add or enhance content on our the retailer.com channels that increases relevance, engagement, and ultimately goal completion.
Maintain an updated status report on project elements with clear action items and deliverables and follow-up with cross-functional team members and agencies as needed to ensure all project elements are on track.
Retailer.com /Brand.com Product Portfolio Management
Based on dynamic business needs, develop and implement unique new product strategy for retailer.com and brand.com
Responsible for assigned brand(s) budget. Reports on financial expenditures related to initiatives. Collaborates with business unit leader to ensure the digital spend is within business objectives and budget.
Pricing / Trade Promotions
Collaborate with team to provide recommendations to the business for trade and consumer promotional strategies. Provide pricing and promotional guidelines to brand.com. For unique digital product, manage the development of pricing recommendations by analyzing cost, list price and suggested retail price to achieve brand and retailer target margins
Collaborate to develop and manage digital promotional plans for retailer.com
Communications / Presentation
Presentation creation and delivery across internal teams and potential external partners. Ensures that team is providing messaging that is appropriate for the particular audience. Facilitate meaningful discussion around feedback in order to move a project forward.
As a digital marketing subject matter expert, serve as a point of contact for advice/opinions / education across the organization.
Business Analytics & Reporting
Routine and ad hoc analysis and reporting. Track and measure metrics that supports the goals and strategic imperatives from the various initiatives and communicate to appropriate management. Analyze and report on retailer.com results taking corrective action or making improvements as needed to optimize spending versus business goals.
Provides management to members of Marketing team. Assist in training of department staff on marketing process and procedures. Responsible for day-to-day management of assigned staff. Manages performance and provides timely feedback. Support the continuous improvement of the marketing team process and performance.
Inventory Management & Forecasting
Monitoring of retail sales and consumer demand trends to manage the forecast and maximize inventory levels.
Requires 5 – 7 years of digital marketing or e-commerce
Proven ability to oversee all marketing activities for assigned brand(s)
Proven track record of contributing to the development of numerous digital projects of various sizes through the project lifecycle
Demonstrated expertise in understanding of e-commerce, social media and digital media
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or related field. MBA preferred.
General management approach to business and experienced in developing marketing strategies leveraging all marketing mix elements: Product, Pricing, Promotion / Advertising, Distribution strategies.
Demonstrated working expertise in digital marketing tactics and web analytics
Solid financial acumen.
Strong leadership skills applicable across the organization.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
