The CPSO provides expertise in all security functions for selected program ensuring the classified program operations meet all applicable National Industrial Security Program Manual (NISPOM) and JAFAN requirements as well as the CSA guidance through performing inspections, responding to alarms, assessing issues and determining/implementing corrective actions. Determine and implement necessary revisions to the Standards, Practices and Procedures (SPP) and associated internal procedures for secure areas. Responsible for the receipt, issue, safeguarding, accounting and destruction of classified material. Formulates and submits timely and accurate required accounting reports. Remains current and ensure full compliance with all Government policies, manuals, procedures and changes. Develop and update the facilities COMSEC procedures as required.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES: Manage all aspects of security for the selected program, which includes document control database, incoming/outgoing visitor request and certification. Conducts security self-inspections and surveys of the secure facility procedures, classified work spaces, and physical spaces; identifies and reports discrepancies and recommend corrective actions. Develops, organizes, and conduct a comprehensive security education/awareness program for all cleared employees. Process personnel security clearance applications/terminations based on Government procurement requirements. Maintains contact with Program/Project Managers (PM) regarding their respective security programs and the status of their cleared personnel. Conducts initial and periodic security briefings and debriefings of cleared personnel. Represent management in program-related meetings with customer representatives, government security agencies and industry associations. Manage escort and courier programs.

Requirements:
Must have working knowledge of NISPOM, ICDs, JAFAN, SAP Security Volumes, JPAS, e-QIP and SWFT

Must be able to interpret and implement SAP security policy and guidance and provide oversight to SAP cleared personnel

Must have a solid knowledge of Microsoft Office

Must be able to respond to after hour alarms or emergencies

Must have excellent written and oral communications kills

Must have excellent customer service skills and strong interpersonal skills

Must be able to work independently and with a team

Organized with strong attention to detail

4 to 6 years of experience working/managing Special Access Programs (SAP) or Sensitive Compartmented Information programs as a CPSO or CSSO

Familiar with writing security violation/infraction reports

Experience with providing oral presentations to include initial and refresher briefings

Valid Driver’s License required

Top Secret clearance required/ SCI eligibility is a plus (SSBI within last 5 years)

Preferred certifications include any of the following: FSO, SPeD, ISP, SAP orientation, SAP mid-level
