Compliance Auditor job – Chicago Teachers Pension Fund – Chicago, IL

Chicago Teachers’ Pension Fund is on a mission to improve our existing systems and processes to better serve our members. We are in search of a Compliance Auditor to perform a variety of audit functions with regard to our member and employer data.

Key Accountabilities:
As the Compliance Auditor, you will have the opportunity to work on some challenging projects which include, but are not limited to, the following:

Analyzing the pension and refund audits for completeness and accuracy

Analyzing the members contribution, salary, and days worked with minimal errors

Preparing reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information into a visual layout

Developing, defining, and communicating policies and procedures to the various internal departments

Reviewing and approving complex salary reversal requests to ensure accuracy updates to the member account

Retaining adequate supporting documents for operational functions

Guiding junior team members in developing and maintaining compliance operational functions

Leading training workshops with the Senior Auditor

Auditing documentation for completeness, accuracy and proper execution in compliance with legal and fund requirements

Job Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university preferred. A commensurate combination of education and related experience will be considered

Previous experience with pension administration and/or auditing of financial data required

Demonstrated critical thinking and problem solving skills

The ability to communicate effectively orally, and in writing, including the use of correct spelling, grammar, and punctuation

Experience implementing corrective actions

Strong attention to detail to minimize audit errors

Excellent organizational and time management skills and the ability to meet deadline

Ability to maintain professionalism and lead by example

Strong experience in the MS Office products, particularly Excel
