As a Communications Systems Engineer, you will:
Join one of Impinj’s multi-disciplined product development teams developing Impinj’s next-generation RAIN RFID products

Collaborate closely with RF engineers, digital engineers, firmware engineers, software engineers, and product engineers through all product development phases

Define specifications for RF, analog, digital, firmware, and software designs

Simulate and model RAIN RFID communications systems

Characterize RAIN RFID system performance

Evaluate customer use cases and contribute to innovative RAIN RFID solutions

Basic Qualifications:
BSEE with undergraduate coursework in Linear Systems, Probability, Digital Communications, and Digital Signal Processing

Experience programming using C/C++, Matlab, or Python

Familiarity with oscilloscopes and logic analyzers

Excellent written and verbal communications skills

Desired Qualifications

BS, MSEE or PhD EE with graduate coursework in Random Processes, Detection and Estimation Theory, Coding Theory, or Information Theory

Undergraduate coursework in Radio Communications or Digital Design

Familiarity with RF test equipment, including spectrum analyzers, vector signal analyzers, vector signal generator, and network analyzers

Familiarity with Xilinx or Altera FPGA design
