CIRT Techs are a valued part of the Center for Instruction and Research Technology (CIRT) team. These students help provide a high level of support for UNF faculty. Whether you are a true creative or more technically-inclined, CIRT offers an environment that will challenge you and opportunities to grow and develop new skills.

The Center for Instruction & Research Technology is looking for motivated students to join us on the Creative Team. The Creative Team provides teaching and research support through the use of technology in the following focus areas: project consultation, media development, instructional technology, and the rest of the core CIRT services.

As a CIRT Tech your responsibilities will include:

1. Customer service/support

2. Equipment management

3. Computer technical support

4. Assistance with facilitation of teaching/research projects

5. Basic video editing and graphic design

6. Re-imaging computers

7. Troubleshooting tasks

8. Research support

9. Microsoft Office related tasks

10. Other ad-hoc tasks, as needed.

Statement(s) of Understanding

Required Qualifications

Aspiring CIRT Techs must be familiar with standard software, including Microsoft Office and web browsers. Applicants must be willing to learn new skills, as needed. Don’t panic; We’ll provide you with the training you may need to learn these new skills. As a highly-visible part of CIRT, it is critical that CIRT Techs communicate with staff and faculty in a professional manner.

Preferred Qualifications

Any previous experience in graphic design, media production or computer science, is welcomed, but not required. A background in both Mac, Windows, and mobile systems is also a plus.
