Operate a forklift, moving materials and putting away finished product.
Accurately and clearly record all needed information on appropriate forms.
Watch quality of block being formed and ensure that all product codes are correct.
Clean tower floor area of cheese twice per shift.
Perform all necessary sanitation procedures needed including the cleaning of towers, barrel line and related equipment.
Give break to the DMM operator.
Work in a safe and proficient manner.
Communicate with both the previous and next shift about any pertinent issues of the day.
Responsible for maintaining floor sanitation and cleanliness of all related work areas.
Must report all food safety problems to Supervisor or Lead
All other duties as assigned by the supervisor or lead person.
Must demonstrate a commitment to Safety, GMP’s, and all other company policies.
Must demonstrate excellent communication skills
Must be able to follow both written and verbal instructions.
Must be able to work independently on all aspects of the job.
Must be capable of operating a forklift safely and efficiently.
Must be capable of lifting up to 40 – 75 lbs.
Must be capable of handling up to 50 lbs. frequently
Must be capable of spending extended periods of time standing
Must have completed high school education or GED
Previous forklift experience with good safety record would be a plus.
Previous food plant manufacturing experience would be a plus.
