Bad Shortcut Killer Removes Broken Shortcuts From Start Menu & Desktop

If you have been using Windows for a long time with hundreds of software installed and uninstalled in the past few years, you are bound to have some unwanted shortcuts in your start menu and the desktop. While some these shortcuts can be easily identified and removed, others are not that easy to locate. For instance, the shortcuts made in the Start Menu and within a directory of the desktop can be easily overlooked. Bad Shortcut Killer is a utility developed to resolve this problem. It quickly finds and lists down bad shortcuts from the start menu and your desktop, which can then be removed.

To start searching for broken shortcuts, click Find Bad Shortcuts. Once all shortcuts are located, check the ones you wish to remove or click on Check All and hit Delete Selected Shortcuts to remove them.

Although the developer claims that Bad Shortcut Killer can find bad shortcuts from both the desktop and start menu. However, during testing, I found the former to be more accurate, as it did leave behind shortcuts from the Start Menu. Nonetheless, it located broken shortcuts from desktop directories about which I had no idea about. Therefore, it is similar to previosuly reviewed Broken Shortcut Fixer.
