The Assistant Chief Engineer for Plug-in Electric Vehicles will be responsible to provide the technical leadership for all electrified powertrain functional areas including high voltage batteries, electric machines, power devices, electric drive modules, and for the development of HV battery electric vehicle powertrains. This position must ensure the electrified powertrain system will meet the functional and performance objectives outlined by the vehicle platform.

Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering

Minimum 10 years of product development experience in the automotive industry

Minimum 5 years of experience in high voltage electrification product development

Understand the function and performance characteristics of all electrified propulsion system components such as batteries, inverters, DC to DC converters, on-board chargers, electric motors and transmissions

Preferred Qualifications:
Master of Science in Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace, Industrial, Applied Physics, or Computer Engineering, or related Engineering field from an ABET accredited university

Engine, transmission, HV systems and / or components development experience

Rotational experience in one or more of the following: Quality, manufacturing, program management, vehicle development, engineering design and release, software controls, vehicle calibration, system integration/developing validation
