The role of the Asset Manager is to coordinate and manage
the execution of each asset’s business plan and will be responsible for all aspects of the asset’s life cycle post-acquisition.
This position will be responsible for c
ontinually evaluating property and renovation performance to maximize returns to the investor without detriment to the property. This positions requires familiarity with a variety of the field’s concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on extensive experience and judgement to plan and accomplish goals. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.

Prior to Close (Underwriting Stage):

  • Reviews underwriting model assumptions and raise questions where necessary.
  • Assists in preparation of the Investment Summary.
  • Participates in all Pipeline and Investment Committee discussions for assigned Partners.
  • Reviews business terms of Loan Documents, Operating Agreements, Organizational Chart, and Property Management Agreements to ensure compliance with transaction approval and fundamental business plan.
  • Reviews and analyzes reports to ensure the property construction budget is sufficient.
  • Reviews closing statements to confirm equity contributions, reserve and escrow amounts, rent ready credits, etc.
  • Reviews initial budget to ensure compliance with transaction approval.
  • Ensures that any amendments to Investment Committee approvals are prepared by Acquisitions and approved for the file.


  • Provides timely reporting to all internal and external stakeholders on reserves, escrows and the overall status of the general business plan.
  • Ensures the Opening Balance Sheet for each property is accurate along with correct amenity pricing and premiums.
  • Performs a weekly property review to analyze and identify areas for improvement.
  • Performs a monthly review of property financial statements and addresses variances as needed.
  • Reviews effective rents and trends to ensure pricing is adequate and competitive.
  • Reviews the construction completion and progress to determine if ROIs are sufficient.
  • Review construction reports and status to ensure timely completion of the renovations according to plan as well as submission and payment of renovation draws.


  • Assists as needed with questions and gathering data.
  • Ensures final renovation draws are processed, closing statements are reviewed and sales closings are communicated timely to Ownership.
  • Calculates and confirms receipt of closing distributions.
  • Works with the Accounting department to ensure all post-sale activities are finalized and accurately recorded.

Job Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Real Estate, Economics or Mathematics preferred
  • 3-5 years’ relevant experience in multi-family asset management preferred (MBA may be substituted for experience)
  • Acquisitions knowledge/experience is highly desirable
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills
  • Ability to prepare financial feasibility analyses, conduct research, and prepare narrative reports and proposals
  • Able to read, analyze, and interpret complex business documents including leases, financial reports, and contracts
  • Experience in developing business and strategic plans
  • Strong knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles
  • Excellent working knowledge of technology; multi-family software, MS Office suite
  • Positive attitude, strong interpersonal and communications skills
  • Highly-organized, detail-oriented, motivated, and able to multi-task effectively in a deadline driven environment while maintaining strict attention to detail
  • Ability to travel up to 25%
  • A valid driver’s license may be required
  • Ability to handle multiple projects and thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work with a diverse group of people and customers

This position will work primarily in an indoor office environment.

This position will operate office type equipment.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be required to reach with hands and arms; stand; walk; and use hands and fingers to handle, feel or operate objects, technological equipment, or controls.

Visual/Hearing Capabilities:
The visual ability necessary to read and interpret a computer screen is required. Visual acuity requirements include color, depth perception, and field vision
The worker is required to have visual acuity to operate office equipment. The hearing ability necessary to communicate with others is required.

The individual must be able to communicate effectively, both written and verbally, with employees and customers on all levels of the organization.

Work Schedule:
8am-5pm, Monday-Friday, or as needed to meet business needs.
