This is technical work in the maintenance and operation of the complex software application systems for the City’s Water Resources Department. Work includes the coordination of system updates and documentation; responsibility for coordinating, supervising, training, installing, and providing all needed technical support at the departmental level for all computer applications, including those applications that are specific to the Water Resources Department; developing, coordinating, supervising and participating in technical support, including preventative and corrective maintenance activities; assisting in the coordination of system updates, job scheduling, documentation and support for application software; and the trouble-shooting and installation of computer terminals, hardware, software, scanning devices and printers.

Salary: $44,811 – $72,953

Essential Qualifications: Applicants must possess a high school diploma or GED equivalency; must possess, at the time of application, and continue to maintain a valid State of Florida Driver’s License; must have previous experience in supporting computer hardware and software; must have previous experience providing end user support; and must be able to communicate effectively, clearly and concisely, orally and in writing. Desirable Qualifications: Preferred applicants have graduated from an accredited four year college or university with a degree in computer science or a related field; have previous experience supporting supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) systems; and have considerable progressive experience providing desktop support to users in a Microsoft Windows networked environment.
