The Junior Agile Business Analyst will support requirements gathering and planning for future system updates in accordance with Agile software development methodology. As an Agile Business Analyst, you will elicit and create system requirements and user stories from identified stakeholders. Create, review and perform test cases to support upcoming software releases. This project team works is on site at our offices in Fairfax, Va.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Interact with customers to obtain and document functional and technical requirements
Analyze existing system documentation to summarize existing system functionality as it relates to the project at hand
Help manage and identify priorities based upon feedback from stakeholders
Elicit requirements using interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, surveys, site visits, business process descriptions, use cases, scenarios, business analysis, task and workflow analysis
Analyze business requirements and technical specifications of applications in development to see how they can be developed into testable elements
Develop test scripts and test scenarios
Document test results, and compile results of other testers into consolidated report for management and client staff
May perform regression or other analyses and present in project meetings
Bachelor Degree and 2+ years of IT experience
Demonstrated experience as a cross functional Business Analyst performing both requirement analysis and software testing
Demonstrated experience in backlog grooming, User Story development and prioritization
Experience with requirements and test management tools to support Agile development activities (Atlassian JIRA & Confluence preferred)
Ability to develop supporting diagrams such as process diagrams and process flows
Experience developing test scripts, iterative test plans, release test plans and regression test plans
Highly motivated and dependable with good oral, written communication skills and a quick learner, a team player also capable of working independently with an open mind, and have ability to see the business needs through system requirements for smooth integration of all projects.
Exposure/knowledge with test automation frameworks and tools such JMeter, Cucumber with Selenium WebDriver (Ruby/Java)
IIBA-CBAP or PMI-PBA Certification
