Administrative Assistant, Police Department job – Johnson County Community College – Overland Park, KS

The Administrative Assistant will provide administrative support for the police department to facilitate efficient and effective operations.

Support department level staff members

Support the department’s financial management

Organize important data and information for the department

Serve as a central point of contact for the department

Required Skills

High school diploma or GED and one year of post secondary education required.

Ability to work fluently within various types of software.

Strong organizational skills; ability to work on numerous projects simultaneously.

Commitment to accuracy; attention to detail.

Effective interpersonal skills; ability to diffuse conflict.

Ability to work in a multi-ethnic and multi-cultural environment with students, faculty and employees.

Must successfully pass polygraph exam and a criminal history background check prior to employment.

Required Experience

Three years of related work experience required.
