Havas Edge is a large full-service, integrated direct response marketing agency, headquartered in Carlsbad, CA with offices in Boston, MA; Los Angeles CA; Portland OR; and London, UK. Edge is the #1 provider of offline (DRTV, Print, OOH, Radio) and online (Display, Search, SEO) creative development, production, media planning and buying to both entrepreneurial and global enterprise clients. This position is based out of Boston, MA and supports clients nationwide.


Account Manager will serve as the primary client interface for companies utilizing multiple direct response marketing/media channels. Account Manager position requires the ability to manage, and lead, the agency’s day-to-day relationship with key client contacts. They earn and keep each clients’ respect and confidence as a trusted advisor bringing value to their business through a strong commitment to success, consistent performance and the ability to develop a wide range of ideas and solutions. The individual will provide leadership, management and counsel on marketing initiatives of integrated marketing services. Channels may include digital/interactive services, TV, radio, direct mail, collateral.

Essential Duties and Responsibilit ies include the following:

Strategic (50%)

  • Starts to emerge as an expert on client category, competitors and consumers
  • Starts to provide strategic insight & POVs through gaining pervasive knowledge of the client business and marketing goals.
  • Knows where to go to find fodder for the team that can stimulate idea generation. Frequently contributes well-thought ideas. Demonstrates passion and hunger for finding insights.
  • Shows passions and respect for big ideas and the creative process. Supports and continues to the development, sell-in and protection of big ideas.
  • Becoming proficient in working with Media and Analytics teams as well as Creative/Production.

Tactical (50%)

  • Is motivated to understand and start to contribute to and articulate program strategy, objectives, measurement & results.
  • Establishes day to day objectives for yourself & can work independently on projects (but still know when to check in with AS or AD).
  • Begins to plan, coordinate, and drive integrated advertising campaigns (multiple projects at once) overseeing/working with AE/AAEs to develop their skills.
  • Work with AD and AS to develop campaign tactics & make client recommendations.
  • Facilitate client discussions on project results against KPI goals and help AD & AS make recommendations.
  • Responsible for building and maintaining the partnership of each client.
  • Author core client communications such as contact reports and SOW docs, including timelines, budgets and descriptions of deliverables.

*Integrated (50%)*

  • Begins to provide leadership, manages & helps drive, develop & manage marketing initiatives within all channels including: digital/interactive services, TV, radio, direct mail, collateral, etc.

*Siloed (50%)*

  • Understands basic processes & best practices by each of the individual channels for creative & media.
  • Offline: TV, Radio, Print, OOH, DM
  • Online: Display, Social Media, Search, Email, and Video.

*Admin Tasks*

  • Manages AE or AAE to:
  • Coordinates agency & client schedules
  • Prep materials for meetings & presentations
  • Manage key non-creative projects docs on the P-drive (work with PM)
  • Raise critical project issues to the AS or AD
